Police said the collision occurred at approximately 7:45 a.m. in the 5200 block of Raymond Stotzer Parkway (Highway 60). Investigators reported that a pickup truck driven by an unidentified individual was struck by a car allegedly operated by 18-year-old Olivia Marie Eichholz.

CRASH INVESTIGATION NEEDED

Head-on collisions are among the most dangerous types of crashes due to the combined force of vehicles often traveling at high speeds.

Although they represent only about two percent of all accidents, they account for roughly 10 percent of traffic fatalities. These crashes frequently result in severe injuries, including traumatic brain injuries (TBIs).

Candice Bond, an experienced auto accident attorney, emphasized that an independent investigation by a skilled attorney is crucial in cases like this to protect a victim’s rights.

“In addition to the thorough efforts of law enforcement, an attorney can re-examine key witnesses, review any available surveillance footage, and obtain phone and text records of the responsible party,” said Bond, Managing Partner of Bond Legal and a national analyst for Accident Injury News. “By acting as an advocate, an attorney can support the injured victim and their family during this challenging time while safeguarding their legal rights and interests.”

PERSONAL INJURY CLAIM

The victim injured in this accident may have the right to pursue a personal injury lawsuit. Stefano Formica, Of Counsel with Bond Legal, explained that the emotional and financial strain following a serious injury can be overwhelming, impacting every aspect of a victim’s life.

“While no amount of compensation can undo a serious injury, it is essential that victims understand their legal rights and the compensation they may be entitled to,” Formica said. “The injured party in this crash may be eligible to pursue damages for medical costs, future care needs, pain and suffering, and emotional distress.”
