CRASH INVESTIGATION NEEDED

According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission, moped and scooter accidents have led to an estimated 50,000 emergency room visits and at least 27 deaths over the past three years.

The Safety Commission has also noted a troubling rise in scooter and moped-related injuries and fatalities in recent years. Candice Bond, an experienced accident attorney, said these types of accidents are frequently the result of negligent drivers.

Bond stressed that in situations like this one, launching a prompt, independent investigation is essential to protecting a victim’s rights.

“In cases like this, time is critical, and it’s essential that evidence is reviewed quickly and thoroughly,” said Bond, Managing Partner at Bond Legal and national analyst for Accident Injury News. “Alongside the work being done by law enforcement, an attorney will closely examine the factors that may have contributed to the crash and has the resources to bring in expert witnesses, run driver background checks, track down witnesses, and review applicable insurance coverage. Acting as an advocate, an attorney can compassionately support a client through this challenging time while firmly protecting their legal rights and best interests.”

PERSONAL INJURY CLAIM

Ariel Chelsea Alaspa may be entitled to pursue a personal injury lawsuit. Stefano Formica, Of Counsel with Bond Legal, explained that the stress and anxiety that come with a serious injury can be overwhelming, impacting every part of a victim’s life — including their family, career, finances, and overall well-being.

“While no financial recovery can undo the harm caused by a serious injury, victims should be fully informed of their legal rights and what they may be entitled to,” Formica said. “The injured party in this collision may be eligible to pursue an injury claim, potentially recovering damages for medical expenses, future medical treatment, pain and suffering, and emotional distress.”
