Ngadimoen Djodikromo Among 5 Hurt in Miami Hit-and-Run

WEST LITTLE RIVER, FL, (July 8, 2026) — A hit-and-run crash Wednesday night in Miami-Dade County’s West Little River neighborhood left five people injured, one of them critically, according to deputies.

The collision occurred at Northwest 84th Street and Northwest 18th Avenue around 8:42 p.m.

Officials said a 19-year-old man driving a black Dodge Challenger failed to stop at a stop sign and struck a white Infiniti QX4. The impact pushed the Infiniti into a tree. The Dodge driver fled the scene on foot but was later apprehended by authorities. He was charged with resisting an officer without violence and leaving the scene of a crash involving serious bodily injury.

One of the five injured victims, Ngadimoen Djodikromo, was transported to a hospital in critical condition.

The crash remains under investigation.

Crash Investigation Needed

A driver involved in a crash is legally required to remain at the scene and notify law enforcement. Failing to do so can result in criminal charges and additional legal consequences.

Traffic crashes injure millions of Americans every year, often with life-altering results. In 2023 alone, approximately 2.2 million people were injured in motor vehicle crashes nationwide, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

While the cause and liability surrounding this crash remain under investigation, Candice Bond, an experienced accident attorney and Managing Partner of Bond Legal, said it’s essential for victims to have an independent investigation conducted by a seasoned attorney.

“Beyond the important work being done by law enforcement, an attorney can re-interview key witnesses, review surveillance footage from the crash scene, and obtain phone and text records from the at-fault party,” said Bond, a national analyst for Accident Injury News.

“In cases like this, time matters, and it’s critical for the victim’s family to ensure the evidence is reviewed promptly and thoroughly.”

Personal Injury Claim

Pending the outcome of the investigation, Ngadimoen Djodikromo may have grounds to pursue a personal injury lawsuit. Stefano Formica, Of Counsel with Bond Legal, noted that the stress and uncertainty following a serious injury can be overwhelming, affecting nearly every part of a victim’s life — from family and work to finances and overall well-being.

“It’s important for victims to have an attorney when pursuing a personal injury claim, since this allows someone to negotiate directly with the insurance company on their behalf,” Formica added.

“Insurance companies often try to pressure victims into accepting a fast settlement well below what their case is actually worth. An attorney, though, will advocate strongly for their client to make sure they’re treated fairly and compensated appropriately.”
