WALLBURG, NC, (April 07, 2026) – A 36-year-old woman was seriously injured and a motorcyclist was killed Tuesday night in a hit-and-run crash in Davidson County, authorities said.
According to the North Carolina State Highway Patrol, Kimberly Latrice Earl was a passenger on a motorcycle traveling north on National Highway near Teague Drive when a Chevrolet Silverado slowed while attempting to change lanes.
At approximately 9:25 p.m., the motorcycle collided with the rear of the truck, ejecting both riders. Earl sustained serious injuries and was transported to Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center.
The driver of the motorcycle, a 30-year-old man, died at the scene.
