Lee, IA (June 27, 2026) — The Iowa State Patrol responded Saturday night to a motorcycle crash on U.S. 61 South in Lee County that left two people injured.
According to officials, a southbound motorcycle lost control near 185th Street at approximately 11:18 p.m. Both the driver and his passenger were injured and airlifted to University of Iowa Hospitals.
Ashley Lundeen, 33, of West Burlington, was riding as a passenger on the motorcycle at the time of the crash. She was airlifted by helicopter to receive treatment. The driver, a 36-year-old man from Argyle, was also airlifted following the crash.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation by the Iowa State Patrol. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact authorities.
