CONROE, Texas— Authorities are investigating a motorcycle accident near Airport Road that killed one man and critically injured another on April 13.
The Conroe Police Department reported the accident occurred shortly after midnight near the Loop. A westbound motorcycle collided with an eastbound Chevrolet pickup truck that entered the roadway from a driveway without yielding.
Investigators identified Dustin Pope, a 21-year-old Conroe man, as the driver of the motorcycle. Emergency responders transported Pope to HCA where he was pronounced dead shortly after 3 a.m.
The motorcycle passenger, a 21-year-old Conroe woman, remains hospitalized with head and lower extremity injuries.
Police confirmed the pickup driver, a 30-year-old Conroe woman, submitted to a blood draw for testing.
