Chelan, WA, (May 05, 2026) – Two people were seriously injured early Tuesday morning in a single-vehicle crash along State Route 97A north of Entiat in Chelan County, according to the Washington State Patrol.
Authorities said the crash occurred at approximately 5:44 a.m. near milepost 222, about five miles north of Entiat. A gray 2014 Chevrolet Cruze traveling southbound reportedly veered onto the right shoulder for unknown reasons, entered a ditch, and struck an embankment along a private driveway before going over it and coming to rest on a hillside.
The driver and a passenger, identified as 25-year-old Moses L. Aparicio of Manson, sustained serious injuries. Both were airlifted to Harborview Medical Center for treatment.
Officials noted that the vehicle sustained heavy damage in the crash. The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
