PRINEVILLE, OR, (April 24, 2026) – A 57-year-old Prineville resident, identified as Monte Scott Greene, was killed Friday night in a crash involving a suspected impaired driver, according to Oregon State Police.
Authorities said the incident occurred at approximately 10:59 p.m. on Combs Flat Road (Highway 380) near Southeast 5th Street. A white Ford Expedition traveling southbound struck Greene, who was riding a bicycle along the roadway.
Greene was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the SUV was arrested and charged with second-degree manslaughter, driving under the influence, and failure to perform the duties of a driver to seriously injured persons.
The crash remains under investigation.
