MSHP: Deadly Moline Acres crash on Highway 367 kills Kiára Brady

MOLINE ACRES, MO, (January 02, 2026) — A late-night two-vehicle crash on Highway 367 in Moline Acres claimed two lives and left multiple others injured, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Authorities said the collision occurred just after 11 p.m. when a northbound 2016 Chrysler 300 lost control near Chambers Road and crossed the centerline into oncoming traffic.

A southbound 2015 Mazda 3 struck the Chrysler on the driver’s side. Kiára Brady, 26, a passenger in the Chrysler, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the Mazda, a 22-year-old woman from St. Louis, later died from her injuries. The Chrysler’s driver, a 21-year-old man from Florissant, suffered moderate injuries, while four women between the ages of 18 and 31 sustained serious injuries and were transported to a hospital.

The cause of the Chrysler’s loss of control remains under investigation, with an accident reconstruction team leading the inquiry.

CRASH INVESTIGATION

According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the United States recorded 33,654 fatal motor vehicle crashes in 2018, resulting in 36,560 deaths. This equates to 11.2 fatalities per 100,000 people and 1.13 deaths per 100 million miles traveled.

“Investigators carefully review roadway conditions, lighting, and visibility when determining how a collision occurred,” said Candice Bond, Managing Partner with Bond Legal.

“In certain cases, accident reconstruction specialists are engaged to help establish what happened. These investigative resources are essential in assisting victims and families seeking financial recovery following a serious or fatal collision,” Bond added.

WRONGFUL DEATH CLAIM

Pending the outcome of the investigation, the family of Kiára Brady may be entitled to pursue a wrongful death claim. Surviving family members may seek damages related to loss of companionship, emotional distress, and pain and suffering following a tragic accident.

“The grief and emotional strain after losing a loved one can be overwhelming,” said Candice Bond, Managing Partner with Bond Legal.

“Our firm understands the challenges families face during these difficult times. A wrongful death attorney can stay informed on the official investigation and work to protect the family’s legal rights and best interests,” Bond stated.
