Minor Hurt in Multi-Vehicle Jonesboro Crash with Wesley Palmer, Police Say

JONESBORO, AR (July 2, 2026) — A minor passenger was injured Tuesday morning in a three-vehicle collision at the intersection of East Highland Drive (Highway 18) and Easley Lane in Jonesboro, according to Arkansas State Police.

Investigators said the crash occurred at approximately 7:24 a.m. when a Ford F-150 driven by 20-year-old Wesley Palmer allegedly crossed the center left-turn lane and collided with a Freightliner semi-truck.

The impact pushed the semi-truck into the outside lane, where it struck an eastbound 2018 GMC Yukon. A minor passenger riding in the Yukon sustained unspecified injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances that led to the collision.

CRASH INVESTIGATION NEEDED

The crash remains under investigation, and authorities are working to determine what caused the pickup truck to strike the tractor-trailer, leading to the collision with the SUV.

Candice Bond, a well-respected accident attorney, has said that in cases such as this, it is important to conduct an independent investigation as soon as possible to help preserve critical evidence.

“In addition to reviewing the police report, an attorney can thoroughly examine all factors that may have contributed to the crash,” said Bond, Managing Partner at Bond Legal and a national analyst for Accident Injury News. “An attorney has the resources to retain expert witnesses, conduct driver background checks, identify and interview witnesses, and review applicable insurance coverage. Serving as an advocate, legal counsel can help guide victims through this difficult time while protecting their legal rights.”

Each year, roughly 36,000 people die, and another 1.9 million people are injured in motor vehicle accidents in this country.

PERSONAL INJURY CLAIM

The minor injured in this accident may have the right to pursue a personal injury lawsuit. Stefano Formica, Of Counsel with Bond Legal, noted that the emotional, physical, and financial burdens following a serious injury can be overwhelming, affecting family life, employment, finances, and overall quality of life.

“Although no amount of compensation can erase the impact of a devastating injury, it is important that victims understand their legal rights and the remedies available under the law,” Formica added. “The injured victim in this collision may be entitled to pursue a personal injury claim and seek damages for medical expenses, future medical treatment, pain and suffering, and emotional trauma.”
