TREASURE ISLAND, FL (March 28, 2026) – Milan John Racak, 42, has been charged after allegedly fleeing a traffic stop and crashing his vehicle Saturday night in Treasure Island, injuring six people.
According to the Treasure Island Police Department, an officer spotted Racak driving an Audi A7 at a high rate of speed along Gulf Boulevard. When the officer attempted to initiate a stop, Racak fled the scene.
At approximately 9:56 p.m., Racak reportedly lost control of his vehicle near 104th Avenue. The Audi struck a utility pole and then crashed into a vacant building, causing significant property damage.
Authorities confirmed that the building was unoccupied at the time of the collision.
Six individuals were transported to nearby hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries. Four victims were taken to a trauma center, while two others were treated at separate medical facilities.
Following his release from the hospital, Racak was booked into the Pinellas County Jail. He faces multiple charges, including DUI, fleeing or eluding with serious bodily injury or death, and two counts of DUI with serious bodily injury.
The Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office Major Accident Investigation Team is continuing to investigate the crash.
