GREENE COUNTY, Iowa – A car rear-ended a tractor on Highway 25 south of 320th Street Tuesday afternoon.
Michael Thomas Dahl, 63, of Scranton drove the tractor southbound when the collision occurred just before 4 p.m. The impact pushed Dahl’s tractor into the west ditch.
The collision knocked Dahl from his tractor during the crash. He sustained fatal injuries from being ejected from the vehicle. Dahl died from his injuries at the scene.
The car came to a stop on the roadway following the accident. The car driver’s condition was not immediately released by authorities.
Iowa State Patrol responded to the crash scene. Officials continue investigating the fatal accident involving the farm equipment and passenger vehicle.
