CRASH INVESTIGATION NEEDED

According to the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT), 2025 was one of the deadliest years for pedestrians, with 127 people killed.

That represented a 98.4 percent increase in pedestrian fatalities in the state since 2015. Pedestrians can be struck due to a combination of factors, including speeding, driver error, distracted driving, and impaired driving.

Candice Bond, an experienced pedestrian accident attorney, stressed that in cases such as this, it is imperative to have an independent investigation conducted by a seasoned lawyer to help protect the rights of a victim’s family.

“Having the proper resources is extremely important to investigate a pedestrian accident case and prove negligence,” said Bond, Managing Partner of Bond Legal and national analyst with Accident Injury News. “Road conditions, signage visibility, and road lighting are all possible contributing factors that are considered and must be examined. These procedures are necessary for helping those who have lost a loved one receive the justice and monetary compensation that they deserve.”

WRONGFUL DEATH CLAIM

The family members of Michael Collins may be entitled to pursue a wrongful death claim. Relatives of wrongful death victims may seek damages for loss of companionship, pain, suffering, and emotional distress following a tragic or catastrophic accident.

“We understand just what families are forced to go through, and having their rights protected is vital,” said Stefano Formica, Of Counsel with Bond Legal. “A wrongful death lawyer will stay updated on the official investigation and help ensure that their best interests are taken care of. Relatives of wrongful death victims are entitled to seek damages for the loss of companionship, pain and suffering, and emotional distress following a tragic or catastrophic accident.”
