DEARBORN HEIGHTS, Mich. – A 31-year-old Dearborn Heights man remains in intensive care after a collision with a suspected intoxicated driver early on June 8.
Police said Mehdi Kadour was driving home from his job at Garden City Hospital when, at around 3:45 a.m., another vehicle struck his car. Security footage showed the other driver ran a stop sign and passed a do not enter sign before the crash.
Kadour sustained head and internal injuries, as well as broken ribs. He has received multiple blood transfusions since the crash.
Dearborn Heights police suspect that the female driver who caused the accident was intoxicated. Blood test results are pending to confirm impairment. Charges are expected to be filed.
The investigation remains ongoing.
