NOBLES COUNTY, Minn. — The Minnesota State Patrol is investigating a motorcycle crash on June 20 that injured two people.
Sgt. Troy Christianson of the MSP reported that the incident happened shortly before 6:30 a.m. A 1989 Honda Gold Wing motorcycle was eastbound Interstate 90 when it blew a tire at milepost 31. It subsequently rolled into the median.
Emergency crews from multiple agencies responded to the scene in Olney Township.
Mary Johnson, 39, of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, suffered non-life-threatening injuries as a passenger on the motorcycle. The driver, a 35-year-old Brandon, South Dakota, man also sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
Both riders wore helmets at the time of the accident. Alcohol was not a factor in the incident, according to investigators.
Adrian Ambulance transported both victims to Worthington Hospital for treatment. The Adrian Police Department, Nobles County Sheriff’s Office, and Rushmore Fire Department assisted at the scene.
