Mark Ryan dies after St Louis hit-and-run bicycle crash on Hudson Rd

ST LOUIS, MO, (April 30, 2026) – Mark Ryan, 66, was killed Thursday morning in a hit-and-run crash involving a vehicle and a bicycle in St. Louis County.

HIT-AND-RUN ACCIDENT INVESTIGATION

In many hit-and-run cases, drivers attempt to evade responsibility by fleeing the scene, believing they can avoid consequences. However, suspects can still face serious charges once identified and apprehended.

Leaving the scene of an accident is a criminal offense, and statistics show that more than one hit-and-run crash occurs every minute on roadways across the United States.

Candice Bond, an experienced hit-and-run accident attorney, emphasized that an independent investigation should be conducted promptly to safeguard the rights of victims and their families.

“Having adequate resources is crucial when investigating a hit-and-run case and establishing negligence,” said Bond, Managing Partner at Bond Legal.

“Factors such as roadway conditions, visibility, and lighting must all be carefully evaluated during the investigation,” Bond added.

These steps are essential to help families who have lost loved ones in hit-and-run incidents pursue justice and potential financial compensation.

WRONGFUL DEATH CLAIM

As the investigation continues, the family of Mark Ryan may have the right to pursue a wrongful death claim. Families of victims in fatal accidents can seek damages for loss of companionship, pain and suffering, and emotional distress.

“The grief and emotional burden after losing a loved one in a crash can be overwhelming,” said Stefano Formica, of counsel at Bond Legal.

“We understand the challenges families face, and ensuring their rights are protected is critical. A wrongful death attorney can monitor the progress of the investigation and help safeguard the family’s legal interests,” Formica added.
