Luciano Galvan killed in Carson accident near Del Amo Blvd

CARSON, CA, (April 29, 2026) – A 24-year-old man was killed early Wednesday morning in a multi-vehicle crash on the Long Beach (710) Freeway in Carson, according to authorities.

The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the victim as Luciano Jaurergui Galvan.

The crash occurred shortly after 1 a.m. near the Del Amo Boulevard exit. According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), four vehicles—a white Kia SUV, a gray sedan, a dark-colored sedan, and a black sedan—were involved in the collision.

Officials said one of the vehicles went down an embankment, and the force of the crash deployed airbags in multiple cars.

Galvan, who was a passenger in one of the vehicles, tragically died at the scene from his injuries.

The incident remains under investigation.

CRASH INVESTIGATION NEEDED

Multiple factors contribute to rising traffic fatalities, with driver behavior at the forefront—including speeding, impaired driving, and distracted driving, particularly from cellphone use. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration reported that 8,055 fatalities occurred in motor vehicle crashes during the first quarter of 2025.

As authorities continue to determine fault in this crash, Candice Bond, Managing Partner at Bond Legal, emphasized the importance of an independent legal investigation.

“Beyond law enforcement efforts, an attorney can re-examine key witness statements, review surveillance footage, and secure phone and texting records from the responsible party,” said Bond, a national analyst for Accident Injury News.

“Acting quickly is critical in cases like this, and the victim’s family should ensure that all evidence is preserved and reviewed without delay.”

WRONGFUL DEATH CLAIM

Pending the investigation, the family of Luciano Jaurergui Galvan may have the right to pursue a wrongful death claim. Families in such cases may seek compensation for loss of companionship, emotional suffering, and other damages resulting from a tragic loss.

“We recognize that the loss of a loved one carries both emotional and financial burdens,” said Stefano Formica, of counsel with Bond Legal. “If a death occurs due to another party’s negligence, families should contact a wrongful death attorney to receive the guidance needed to pursue justice.”

“Insurance companies may attempt to minimize payouts or deny claims altogether. An attorney can safeguard your rights and help ensure fair compensation,” he added.
