BERKELEY, WV (April 14, 2026) – A 20-year-old man was injured after being ejected from a vehicle during a crash Tuesday night in Berkeley County, according to West Virginia State Police.
Authorities said a white Buick Verano went off an embankment in the 3400 block of Back Creek Valley Road at around 8 p.m., eventually becoming submerged in water.
Logan Darlington, of Martinsburg, was ejected from the vehicle and transported to Berkeley Medical Center for evaluation. Three other occupants, including the driver, were trapped inside and later airlifted to Inova Fairfax Hospital.
Officials indicated alcohol is believed to be a contributing factor in the crash. The investigation remains ongoing.
