HICKORY TOWNSHIP, Minn. — A two-vehicle accident seriously injured one driver on a rural Pennington County road in Pennington County, the Minnesota State Patrol reported.
MSP said that the crash happened shortly after 9 p.m. near the intersection of County Road 27 and 125th Street SE in Hickory Township.
Lily Graves, 22, of Redlake, was driving a 2012 Buick Lacrosse south on 400th Avenue when a northbound 2022 Freightliner tractor-trailer made contact with her vehicle. Emergency responders transported Graves to Altru Hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The 68-year-old driver of the tractor-trailer, a man from Oak Grove, remained at the scene.
First responders from Pennington and Red Lake counties assisted, along with Oklee EMS, Goodridge First Responders, and Sanford Ambulance.
The Minnesota State Patrol is investigating the cause of the accident.
