RAPIDES PARISH, La. — A 13-year-old girl died in a UTV crash on W. River Road early Sunday morning, Louisiana State Police said in a release.
Kyndal Vidrine of Oakdale sustained severe injuries when she was ejected from a Can-Am Outlander. Emergency crews transported her to an area hospital where she was pronounced dead.
Louisiana State Police Troop E responded to the fatal accident at approximately 12:06 a.m. on June 22. The crash occurred on W. River Road south of Louisiana Highway 462. The juvenile driver of the Can-Am sustained minor injuries in the accident. A person operating the Honda Foreman also suffered minor injuries during the crash.
Emergency crews transported both injured individuals to the hospital for treatment. Police obtained routine toxicology samples and submitted them for analysis.
The crash remains under investigation as authorities work to determine the exact cause.
