GEORGETOWN, Texas— Authorities are investigating a fatal accident April 11 on State Highway 29 that killed an off-duty firefighter.
The Georgetown Fire Department reported the accident occurred just after 9 a.m. near Wolf Ranch Parkway. The motorcycle was traveling on the roadway when the accident happened and rider was wearing a helmet.
Investigators identified Kurt Lentz, a Georgetown firefighter, as the rider of the motorcycle. Emergency responders transported Lentz to Ascension Seton Williamson Hospital, where he succumbed.
The driver of the other vehicle, a local resident, declined medical transport.
Officials confirmed an investigation remains ongoing.
