SELMA, AL, (May 03, 2026) — Kimeia A. Bennett, 43, of Uniontown, was killed early Sunday morning in a single-vehicle crash in Dallas County, according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA).
Authorities said the crash occurred at approximately 3:50 a.m. on U.S. 80 near County Road 209, about eight miles west of Selma.
Investigators determined that a 2011 Hyundai Sonata left the roadway for reasons still under investigation, struck a guardrail, and overturned. The impact resulted in the ejection of one passenger.
Bennett, who was riding in the vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver, a 25-year-old man from Uniontown, sustained unspecified injuries and was transported to Vaughan Regional Medical Center in Selma for treatment. A second passenger, a 35-year-old woman from Tuscaloosa, was also injured and taken to the same hospital.
ALEA remains the lead agency investigating the crash. Officials have not released additional information regarding the condition of the surviving occupants.
