REIDSVILLE, GA, (April 25, 2026) – A 46-year-old woman was killed and two others injured Saturday night in a pedestrian crash in Tattnall County, according to authorities.
The Tattnall County Sheriff’s Office reported that the incident occurred at approximately 8:18 p.m. along a river access road near Magnolia Road, where two women and a 3-year-old child were walking when a truck veered off the roadway toward them.
Investigators said one of the women pushed the child out of the way moments before impact. The truck struck both adults.
Kimberly King, of Reidsville, was pronounced dead at the scene. Her body was transported to the GBI Crime Lab in Pooler for an autopsy. A 20-year-old woman sustained critical injuries and was taken to a hospital, while the child was injured, treated, and released.
Authorities identified the driver as 25-year-old Jordan Austin Young of Swainsboro. He was arrested and charged with involuntary manslaughter, with additional charges possible.
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation is leading the ongoing investigation.
