Kevin Parham Injured in Head-On Crash Near Phenix City, AL

PHENIX CITY, AL, (February 14, 2026) — A 40-year-old Prattville man was hospitalized Saturday following a head-on accident in Russell County, Alabama.

Authorities reported that Kevin Parham was driving a Dodge Journey on U.S. Route 80 at about 4:15 p.m. when it collided with a Nissan Rogue operated by a 70-year-old Georgia woman near mile marker 200, roughly 14 miles west of Phenix City.

Parham was transported to Piedmont Columbus Regional – Midtown in Columbus, Georgia, with unspecified injuries. Alabama Law Enforcement Agency troopers are investigating the crash.

HEAD-ON ACCIDENT INVESTIGATION NEEDED

No additional details have been released as Alabama Law Enforcement Agency troopers continue investigating the crash.

Although only 2% of U.S. crashes are head-on accidents, they account for over 10% of crash-related fatalities. From 2015 to 2018, AAA reported more than 2,000 deaths on divided highways due to head-on collisions.

Candice Bond, an experienced auto accident attorney, noted that driver error is the most common cause of such accidents. Contributing factors include speeding, impaired driving, distracted driving, poor road design, and confusion on the part of the driver. Authorities are examining all potential causes during their investigation.

Bond emphasized the importance of an independent investigation by a qualified lawyer to protect victims’ rights.

“Time is critical in these cases, and the victim must be assured that evidence is carefully reviewed,” said Bond, Managing Partner at Bond Legal and a national analyst for Accident Injury News. “An attorney can review all factors contributing to the crash, hire expert witnesses, conduct driver background checks, locate witnesses, and analyze applicable insurance coverage. Serving as an advocate, a lawyer can guide an accident victim through this difficult time while protecting their legal rights and best interests.”

PERSONAL INJURY CLAIM

Pending the results of the investigation, Kevin Parham may be eligible to pursue a personal injury claim for medical and rehabilitation costs, lost wages, pain and suffering, and emotional trauma.

“Personal injury occurs when a person or entity’s wrongful or negligent act causes injury,” said Stefano Formica, Of Counsel with Bond Legal. “In vehicle accidents caused by unsafe, distracted, or impaired driving, victims often have the option to file a civil lawsuit to recover damages.”
