SAN ANTONIO, Texas — The San Antonio Police Department is investigating a wrong-way crash on June 3 that left one person and two others injured.
At around 9:30 p.m., a 45-year-old man driving a pickup truck in the wrong direction collided head-on with a passenger vehicle. The force of the impact caused severe damage to both vehicles.
The driver of the passenger vehicle, 28-year-old Karina Ramirez, was transported to an area hospital where she was pronounced dead. Two passengers, a 9-year-old girl and a 7-year-old girl, sustained injuries. One remains hospitalized but is expected to recover.
Officials said the pickup truck driver sustained minor injuries. SAPD said he may face intoxication manslaughter charges pending toxicology results.
