CORPUS CHRISTI, TX, (April 06, 2026) – A 43-year-old man was killed Monday evening in a multi-vehicle crash on the Crosstown Expressway, according to the Corpus Christi Police Department.
Authorities said the crash occurred shortly after 6:30 p.m. near Morgan Avenue when a Chrysler 300 traveling at a high rate of speed struck a silver Honda Accord minivan.
The impact triggered a chain-reaction collision involving at least five vehicles, scattering debris across the freeway and median.
Julio Flores Jr. was identified by the Nueces County Medical Examiner as the victim who died in the crash.
Two other individuals sustained minor injuries and were transported to a hospital for treatment.
Police have not ruled out racing as a contributing factor. All vehicles involved were towed for further forensic examination. The investigation remains ongoing.
