SAN JACINTO, TX (March 29, 2026) – A three-vehicle crash in San Jacinto County left one person dead and another seriously injured, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS).
Authorities said a southbound 2024 Nissan Sentra was traveling in the northbound lane of U.S. 59, north of FM 223. At approximately 10:30 a.m., the vehicle collided head-on with a northbound 2024 Chevrolet Camaro.
A northbound 2026 Hyundai Venue then struck the rear of the Camaro following the initial impact. Juana Andrade-Zepeda, 36, of New Caney, who was driving the Camaro, was transported to HCA Conroe with possible life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the Sentra, a 24-year-old Conroe man, was taken to St. Luke’s Memorial Houston, where he was later pronounced dead. Two occupants of the Hyundai sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were also transported to the same hospital.
DPS continues to investigate the crash.
