CLAYTON, OH, (April 17, 2026) – A two-vehicle crash Friday afternoon in Clayton claimed the life of a Trotwood woman and left three others injured, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
Authorities said the collision occurred around 3:48 p.m. at the intersection of Hoke Road and Westbrook Road. A 2023 Hyundai Elantra traveling south reportedly failed to yield to cross traffic and was struck by a westbound 2013 Chevrolet Silverado.
A passenger in the Hyundai, 79-year-old Joya Hill, sustained critical injuries and was transported to Miami Valley Hospital, where she later succumbed to her injuries.
The driver of the Hyundai suffered serious, life-threatening injuries and was also taken to the hospital. The driver and a passenger in the Silverado sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were hospitalized for evaluation.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol continues to investigate the cause of the crash.
