MELBOURNE, Fla. — A fatal motorcycle accident occurred on May 28 at 11:30 a.m. in the 700 block of S. Harbor City Boulevard.
Joshua Garcia, 40, was riding northbound on S. Harbor City Boulevard when a passenger vehicle exited a parking lot and pulled into his path. His motorcycle crashed into the driver’s side of the vehicle, causing severe injuries.
Emergency responders found Garcia unresponsive under the vehicle. Paramedics transported him to the hospital, where officials later confirmed he had died from his injuries.
A second motorcyclist riding behind Garcia attempted to avoid the vehicle but struck its front. The occupants of the passenger vehicle suffered minor injuries and were taken to the hospital for treatment.
Authorities continue reviewing details surrounding the accident while examining contributing factors.
