GREEN OAK TOWNSHIP, Mich. — Authorities are investigating a fatal single-vehicle accident that occurred on April 29 on Whitmore Lake Road near M-36.
Joshua Fragoso, 16, was identified as the victim. He was a passenger in a Mercury Montego when the vehicle crashed, leaving him with fatal injuries. Emergency responders attempted life-saving measures, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
A 16-year-old front-seat passenger and the 18-year-old driver suffered injuries and were transported to the hospital. Officials have not released further details about their identities or conditions.
Green Oak Township Police suspect alcohol or drugs may have played a role in the accident. Blood test results for the driver are pending as the investigation continues.
