AMERICAN TOWNSHIP, OH (June 30, 2026) — A 33-year-old Lima man died Tuesday morning after a collision between his motorcycle and a car in American Township, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
OSHP said Joseph Foust IV was riding a Harley-Davidson motorcycle northbound on North West Street at approximately 5:39 a.m. when a southbound Cadillac CTS failed to yield while making a turn near the Allen-Oakwood Correctional Institution and collided with his bike.
Foust was taken to Mercy Health – St. Rita’s Medical Center, where he later died from his injuries.
The 55-year-old Elida resident driving the Cadillac was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.
The crash remains under investigation.
