APPLE VALLEY, CA, (May 23, 2026) – A 76-year-old Apple Valley man died Sunday night following a pedestrian collision at an intersection in San Bernardino County, according to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department.
Deputies responded at approximately 10:20 p.m. to the intersection of Sandia Road and Kiowa Road after reports of a traffic collision involving a pedestrian. Emergency personnel arrived shortly after and provided medical assistance at the scene.
Johnny Guerra, a resident of Apple Valley, was later pronounced dead from injuries sustained in the crash.
Authorities have not released details regarding the driver involved or the circumstances leading up to the collision. The incident remains under investigation by the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department.
