Lewis, WA, (July 03, 2026) — A 63-year-old Seattle man was injured Friday when the pickup truck he was riding in collided with another vehicle on Interstate 5 in Lewis County.
According to the Washington State Patrol (WSP), John Sloane was a passenger in a Ford F-150 pickup driven by a 62-year-old man who failed to negotiate the curve while traveling southbound on the I-5 off-ramp. The pickup subsequently collided with a vehicle driven by a 48-year-old man. Sloane was taken to PeaceHealth St. John Medical Center in Longview for treatment.
The driver of the other vehicle died as a result of the crash, which remains under investigation.
