PORTLAND, OR (May 26, 2026) – A 40-year-old Portland man, Jered Nelson, was killed Tuesday evening following a motorcycle crash in northeast Portland.
According to Portland police, a Jeep Wrangler was traveling east on Northeast Halsey Street around 6:30 p.m. when it turned into a parking lot near the Northeast 111th Avenue intersection. During the turn, the Jeep collided with Nelson’s motorcycle, causing the bike to strike the passenger side of the vehicle.
Emergency responders transported Nelson to a nearby hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
Authorities are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
