Deputies: Jennifer Anderson hurt in Minnesota OHV rollover

OTTER TAIL, MN, (April 18, 2026) – A 29-year-old woman was seriously injured Saturday night in an off-highway vehicle (OHV) crash in Otter Tail County, authorities said.

According to the Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office, the crash occurred at about 7 p.m. on private property when the vehicle overturned.

Jennifer Anderson, of Fergus Falls, was a passenger and was ejected during the crash, suffering severe injuries. She was transported to Lake Region Health for treatment.

The 38-year-old driver was pinned beneath the roll bars and also sustained serious injuries. He was taken to a hospital for care.

OHV CRASH INVESTIGATION

According to Consumer Product Safety Commission data, approximately 568 adults and 144 children die each year in ATV, UTV, and OHV crashes, with many more suffering injuries.

Candice Bond, a Managing Partner at Bond Legal and national analyst for Accident Injury News, said that in cases like this, conducting an independent investigation promptly is crucial to preserving evidence.

“In addition to reviewing the official police report, an attorney will analyze all contributing factors to the crash,” said Bond, an experienced ATV accident attorney. “Legal counsel can hire expert witnesses, perform background checks, identify witnesses, and examine insurance coverage. Acting as an advocate, an attorney can help guide an injured victim through what can be a complex process.”

PERSONAL INJURY CLAIM

Pending the results of the investigation, Jennifer Anderson may have the right to pursue a personal injury lawsuit.

Stefano Formica, Of Counsel with Bond Legal, noted that the stress and uncertainty following a serious injury can affect every aspect of a victim’s life, including family, work, finances, and overall well-being.

“It is important for victims to retain an attorney when filing a personal injury claim, allowing them to negotiate effectively with insurance companies,” Formica added. “Insurers often attempt to settle quickly for less than a claim’s true value. An attorney will advocate strongly to ensure the victim is treated fairly and receives proper compensation.”
