WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — A two-vehicle accident on North Point Boulevard left one man dead and another person seriously injured.
Authorities said the accident happened May 22 at approximately 9:40 p.m. Emergency personnel transported one individual to a hospital for treatment.
Officials said a 2004 Kia was pulling out of a driveway and crossing eastbound lanes when a 2007 Honda struck its driver’s side.
Police identified the deceased as Daniel Hodge, 79. Emergency responders pronounced him dead at the scene. An 81-year-old passenger in the Kia sustained serious injuries and was taken to a hospital. The Honda driver, a 21-year-old man, was not injured. His passenger also escaped harm.
The investigation remains ongoing.
