James Milburn Evans Jr killed in Macon on Pio Nono Avenue

MACON, GA (April 15, 2026) – A 57-year-old man was killed Wednesday night after being struck by a vehicle at an intersection in Macon, according to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.

Authorities said James Milburn Evans Jr. was hit at approximately 10 p.m. near the intersection of Pio Nono Avenue and Ell Street. The driver, a 25-year-old, was making a right turn onto Pio Nono Avenue at the time of the collision.

Evans was transported to a local hospital, where he later died from his injuries.

The incident remains under investigation.
