BROWN, OH, (August 11, 2026) – James D. Daugherty, 46, of Cincinnati, was killed Tuesday night after a vehicle struck his electric bicycle from behind and fled the scene in Sterling Township, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
Troopers said Daugherty was riding west on Ohio 32 near Eastwood Road at approximately 10:36 p.m. when a vehicle traveling in the same lane struck him from behind.
The vehicle fled the area following the collision. Daugherty was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities believe the suspect vehicle may be a white 2020-2025 Nissan Versa.
