Isaac Aguilera killed in Licking County crash, two teens hurt

JERSEY TOWNSHIP, OH, (September 22, 2026) – Isaac Aguilera, 18, was killed Tuesday in a single-vehicle accident that also injured two teenagers in Jersey Township, Licking County.

According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol (OSHP), Aguilera was driving a Dodge Ram pickup truck north on Mink Street at approximately 9:30 p.m. when the vehicle crossed left of center and left the west side of the roadway.

The pickup then struck a ditch, a fence, and two trees.

Two passengers, ages 16 and 13, were injured in the crash. The teenagers were transported to Nationwide Children’s Hospital for treatment.

Aguilera was pronounced dead at the scene.

CRASH INVESTIGATION NEEDED

Single-vehicle accidents account for about 50 percent of all traffic deaths each year in the U.S.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) reports that many of these crashes involve vehicles leaving the roadway and striking objects such as trees, guardrails, road signs, and utility poles.

Candice Bond, an experienced auto accident attorney, stressed that in cases such as this, it is important to have an independent investigation conducted by a seasoned lawyer as soon as possible to preserve evidence and protect the rights of an injured victim.

“In addition to a police report, an attorney will carefully examine the factors that may have contributed to the crash,” said Bond, Managing Partner at Bond Legal, and a national analyst for Accident Injury News. “Your lawyer has the resources to hire expert witnesses, conduct drivers’ background checks, locate witnesses to the crash, and review applicable insurance coverage. Serving as an advocate, an attorney can compassionately assist a client through this difficult time while vigorously protecting their legal rights and best interests.”

PERSONAL INJURY CLAIM

The victims injured in this accident may have the right to pursue a personal injury lawsuit. Stefano Formica, Of Counsel with Bond Legal, said that the stress and uncertainty following a serious injury can be overwhelming and can affect family life, work, finances, and overall quality of life.

“Although no amount of money can make up for a devastating injury, it is important for a victim to understand their rights and what they may be entitled to under the law,” Formica added. “The injured victim in this collision may be entitled to an injury claim and may seek compensation for damages such as medical expenses, future medical care, pain and suffering, and emotional trauma.”
