ASP: Hunter Jones hurt in rollover collision on Marion County Road 7019

MARION, AR, (April 04, 2026) – One person was killed and three others injured in a single-vehicle roadway incident early Saturday morning in rural Marion County.

According to the Arkansas State Police, a 2001 Chevrolet Blazer traveling southbound on Marion County Road 7019 lost control while navigating a curve and overturned at approximately 4:45 a.m.

A juvenile passenger died in the incident. Hunter Marie Jones, 18, of Mountain Home, was injured and transported to Baxter Regional Medical Center for treatment.

The driver and another passenger also sustained injuries. The case remains under investigation.

CRASH INVESTIGATION

The NHTSA reports that speeding is a leading cause of roadway incidents, followed by impairment, lane violations, failure to yield, and distracted driving.

Approximately 2.2 million people were injured in traffic-related incidents nationwide in 2023, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

“It is crucial to determine the exact cause of these incidents. An attorney has the resources to review insurance coverage, engage expert witnesses, conduct background checks, and locate witnesses. We guide families through this process,” said Candice Bond, Managing Partner with Bond Legal.

She added that conducting an independent investigation promptly is important to preserve critical evidence.

“In addition to a police report, an attorney will analyze all contributing factors,” Bond said. “Legal counsel can consult experts, review driver history, identify witnesses, and examine insurance coverage while guiding victims through what can be a complex process.”

PERSONAL INJURY CLAIM

Pending the outcome of the investigation, Hunter Jones may have the right to pursue a personal injury lawsuit. Stefano Formica, Of Counsel with Bond Legal, noted that serious injuries can bring overwhelming stress and disrupt many aspects of life.

“It is essential for victims to hire an attorney when filing a personal injury claim so negotiations with insurance companies can be handled properly,” Formica added.

“Insurance companies are often reluctant to fully account for the costs associated with injuries. An attorney can help protect victims and ensure they receive fair compensation while holding responsible parties accountable.”
