HOOD RIVER, OR, (April 26, 2026) — A 24-year-old Hermiston man, identified as Hunter Clay Miller, was killed early Sunday morning in a hit-and-run pedestrian crash in Hood River County.
According to police, Miller was on Interstate 84 near milepost 66 when he was struck by a westbound vehicle shortly before 6 a.m. The driver involved in the collision fled the scene, which is located about two miles east of Hood River.
Miller was pronounced dead at the scene, authorities confirmed.
During the investigation, officers located a Harley-Davidson motorcycle several miles east of the crash site. However, officials have not yet determined whether the motorcycle was connected to Miller.
The incident remains under active investigation as authorities work to identify the driver responsible.
