HONOLULU, HI, (April 11, 2026) – A 35-year-old man was arrested Saturday evening in connection with two traffic collisions that left three people injured in Honolulu.
According to the Honolulu Police Department, Anthony Corpuz was driving a sedan that struck a 46-year-old bicyclist on Kuwili Street in Kalihi at approximately 5:19 p.m. Authorities said he fled the scene immediately after the crash.
Roughly 12 minutes later, the same vehicle allegedly ran a red light at the intersection of Hotel Street and Alakea Street, colliding with another vehicle and striking a 37-year-old pedestrian.
Emergency responders transported the bicyclist to a hospital in serious condition. The driver of the second vehicle and the pedestrian were also taken for medical treatment.
Corpuz was arrested later that night and charged with first-degree negligent injury. His bail was set at $100,000. The investigation remains ongoing.
