SACRAMENTO, CA, (June 23, 2026) – A pedestrian who was seriously injured in a hit-and-run crash near Tahoe Park in Sacramento has died, police said.
He was identified by the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office as 46-year-old Kirubel Gebretsadik.
According to police, an unknown vehicle struck a parked vehicle in the 3400 block of Ramona Avenue at approximately 7:45 a.m., causing the parked vehicle to collide with Gebretsadik. He was transported to a hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
The driver fled the scene following the crash, but officers were later able to locate the suspect’s vehicle.
The Sacramento Police Department’s Major Collision Investigation Unit is handling the case. No additional details have been released.
