ODESSA, FL, (April 25, 2026) – A 64-year-old woman remains in critical condition after being injured in a hit-and-run crash Saturday night in Odessa, according to the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP).
Authorities said Suzen Leslie Roselip was riding her bicycle near Black Lake Road along State Road 54 at approximately 8:30 p.m. when she was struck by an unknown vehicle. The driver fled the scene immediately following the collision.
Roselip was later discovered by a passerby, who contacted emergency services. She was transported to St. Joseph’s Hospital in Tampa with life-threatening injuries, including facial fractures and brain bleeds. Officials said she underwent surgery and remains in the intensive care unit.
FHP troopers are processing the crash scene for evidence in an effort to identify the vehicle involved. No arrests have been made, and authorities have not released a description of the suspect vehicle.
