BOCA RATON, Fla.— Authorities continue to investigate a fiery crash on April 21 that claimed the lives of four people and injured two others.
The accident occurred just before 9 p.m. in the 17900 block of S. Military Trail. Officials reported that a speeding 2013 Ford Taurus collided with a 2017 Genesis G90 making a left turn into a shopping plaza.
Investigators identified Gerald Levy, 92, and Thelma Levy, 93, as two of the individuals killed in the accident. Both were passengers in the Genesis, which crashed into a concrete utility pole and sustained major damage.
The Genesis driver and another passenger also died at the scene.
The Ford Taurus occupants sustained serious injuries and were hospitalized.
The Palm Beach Sheriff’s Office is investigating.

According to the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Fatality Analysis Reporting System, there were 33,654 fatal motor vehicle crashes in the United States in 2018 in which 36,560 deaths occurred. This resulted in 11.2 deaths per 100,000 people and 1.13 deaths per 100 million miles traveled.
“Road conditions, visibility, and lighting are all possible contributing factors that are considered and must thoroughly be examined,” said Candice Bond, a Managing Partner with Bond Legal.
