FRESNO, CA, July 1, 2026 — A motorcyclist was killed in a suspected hit-and-run crash Wednesday night in central Fresno, authorities said.
The Fresno County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as 30-year-old Marvin Johnson, a Fresno resident.
According to Fresno police, the collision occurred around 9 p.m. at the intersection of Dakota and Fruit Avenues. A vehicle traveling eastbound on Dakota reportedly made a northbound turn at the intersection and struck Johnson’s motorcycle, which was heading westbound on Dakota. The driver, believed to be operating a large-frame Ford, fled the scene northbound on Fruit Avenue.
Johnson was transported to Community Regional Medical Center, where he later died from his injuries.
Fresno police are actively searching for the suspect. The investigation into the crash remains ongoing.
