BLOUNT, AL, (April 30, 2026) – A 71-year-old Trafford man has died following a two-vehicle accident that occurred more than two weeks ago in Blount County, according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA).
Investigators said Michael Moro was driving a 2001 Ford Explorer on Alabama 79 approximately two miles south of Locust Fork on April 30 when his SUV was struck by a 2000 Nissan Frontier.
Authorities said the impact caused the Ford Explorer to leave the roadway and overturn.
Moro suffered serious injuries in the collision and was airlifted to UAB Hospital in Birmingham for treatment. Officials later confirmed that he died from injuries sustained in the crash.
The accident remains under investigation by ALEA.
