FLATHEAD, MT (Apr 01, 2026) – A Washington teenager was killed Wednesday night in a head-on crash near Lakeside in Flathead County.
According to the Montana Highway Patrol, a Ford Transit attempted to pass another vehicle on U.S. Highway 93 and collided with a southbound Honda Accord at about 7:20 p.m. Both vehicles overturned following the crash.
The 18-year-old Honda driver died at the scene. The van driver was hospitalized. Speed is believed to be a factor.
