Felice Flores and Young Passenger Killed in Ropesville Rollover Crash

Ropesville, TX (July 2, 2026) — A 44-year-old Levelland woman was killed in a two-vehicle crash Thursday in Ropesville.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, Felice Flores was driving a Chevrolet Silverado west on Farm-to-Market Road 1585 approaching FM 168 at approximately 6:12 p.m. when a Ford F-250 towing a trailer pulled in front of her vehicle.

The maneuver caused the Silverado to collide with the trailer and roll over.

Flores was pronounced deceased at the scene. A 14-year-old girl who was a passenger in the Silverado was also pronounced deceased at the scene.

A second passenger, a 22-year-old Levelland resident, was transported to University Medical Center in Lubbock with serious injuries.

Authorities said all three occupants of the Silverado were wearing seat belts at the time of the crash. The driver of the pickup truck towing the trailer, a 31-year-old Seminole man, was not injured.

FATAL TWO-VEHICLE ACCIDENT INVESTIGATION

Data from the Federal Highway Administration shows that nearly 40% of all car collisions occur at road intersections. Common contributing factors include drivers failing to yield the right of way, impatience behind the wheel, reckless driving, and distraction.

Candice Bond, an experienced auto accident attorney, said accidents of this nature call for an independent investigation to safeguard the rights of the victims’ families.

“Determining the precise cause of these types of accidents is essential,” said Bond, Managing Partner with Bond Legal and a national analyst for Accident Injury News. “An attorney has the resources needed to examine applicable insurance coverage, bring in expert witnesses, conduct background checks, and track down witnesses. We work closely with the victim’s family to guide them through the process.”

Bond added, “Beyond reviewing the police report, an attorney will thoroughly examine the factors that may have contributed to the crash. Acting as an advocate, an attorney can help guide victims and their families through what is often a complicated and difficult process.”

WRONGFUL DEATH CLAIM

Depending on the outcome of the investigation, the family of Felice Flores may be able to pursue a wrongful death claim. Families of wrongful death victims may be entitled to seek damages for loss of companionship and love, funeral expenses, pain and suffering, and emotional distress stemming from a tragic accident of this kind.

“The grief and stress that follow the loss of a loved one in an accident can feel unbearable,” said Stefano Formica, of counsel at Bond Legal. “We know firsthand what families go through during this time, and protecting their rights is essential. A wrongful death attorney will closely monitor the ongoing investigation and work to ensure the family’s legal rights and best interests remain protected.”
