WALKER, TX, (May 16, 2026) – Four people were killed late Saturday night following a head-on collision along State Highway 30 in Walker County, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.
Troopers responded to the crash at approximately 11:40 p.m. west of Wesley Grove Road. Preliminary reports indicate that an eastbound 2019 Jeep Wrangler crossed the centerline and collided head-on with a westbound 2019 Buick SUV.
Authorities identified one of the victims as Faithe Nicole Artherholt, 21, of Leander. Artherholt was a passenger in the Buick SUV and suffered fatal injuries in the collision. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
A 21-year-old Rockdale man and an unidentified 10-year-old child who were also inside the Buick died in the crash. The 23-year-old driver of the Jeep Wrangler was likewise pronounced deceased at the scene.
Emergency crews remained at the site for several hours as investigators documented evidence and cleared the roadway.
The Texas Department of Public Safety has not yet released additional details regarding the cause of the collision, and the investigation remains ongoing.
